Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Halloween Card

Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Halloween Card

Posted by Carrie Rhoades on 13th Oct 2020

Hello, Carrie Rhoades here with another creation for Scrapbook Pal. Today I am featuring the new Fox Costumes Before and After stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I know at Halloween time I am taking all kinds of pictures of my kids all dressed up. My 12 year old daughter and her best friend try and coordinate their costumes, it is so cute. So, this card is inspired by that.Let’s take a look at this Magic Iris Camera Pull Tab card and then I will share how I made it. You can also see the making of card in this YouTube video.

You can see this mama fox is thrilled with her little fox all dressed up with his friend and ready to go out Trick or Treating. And she caught it on her Instant camera.

I started off this card by die cutting all the pieces I wanted for my camera.

I used gray card stock, black glitter paper, orange card stock and some printed paper.

I paper pieced that all together to create my Halloween inspired Instant camera.

To make this an instant camera you need the Magic Iris Camera Pull Tab add on die set as well as the original Let’s Toast Pull Tab die set.

There are two dies in the Magic Iris Camera Pull Tab add on die set that cut slits in the paper. Use the smaller of the two to cut a slit into the top of the camera for the pictures to slide out of. The longer of the two dies that cuts a slit is the one you use to cut the slit for the pull tab to glide in on the panel that your camera will be mounted on. In this case that would be the green argyle paper from the Knit Picky Fall Paper Pack.

There is also a die in the is add on die set that cuts the opening for the end of the pull tab, the part you pull on, that is designed for a panel that measures 5-½” wide. So it really is a great add on die set to the Pull Tab interactive dies.

You can watch the video to see how this will all go together, it is much easier to watch and see how it is done and once you see it you will realize it is not that hard to create.

The Magic Iris Camera Pull Tab add on die set is also the die set that has the die to cut the picture frame. Which, by the way is the exact same size as an Instax picture, so you could be a real picture there as well. For my instant pictures I used the Spooky Village stamp set to create a trick or treating scene. And then I have my fox and chick in their costumes die cut in front of the scene. I love the look of this picture so much. It makes me want to make a bunch more of these pull tab camera cards!

I also combined the same two stamp sets to add a little bit of a scene on the inside of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s card, I think sending Halloween cards is a treat to whoever receives them.

Below you will find the supplies I used to make this card.
