Valentine's Day Cards: One Stamp Set, Four Ways

Posted by Jenn Li on

Today I am sharing FOUR Valentine's Day cards made with ONE stamp set! It's easy to make a bunch of these clean and simple cards.

Card 1: Pop Tarts

I stamped out two pop tart images from the Lawn Fawn Let's Toast set with Lawn Fawn jet black ink and colored them with Copic markers (E34BG10BG11RV10RV11). Once colored, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I cut out a stitched rectangle background from white cardstock for my background. I made my own heart stencil with a sheet of Dura Lar acetate and my Cricut so I could ink blend a heart using Distress Ink Spun Sugar. Next I smooshed some picked raspberry Distress Ink on an acrylic block, watered it down, and splattered ink on the background with a paintbrush. While it dried, I stamped out the sentiment using VersaMark on black cardstock and white embossing powder.

To assemble, I layered the inked background on a piece of black cardstock, glued the sentiment, popped up the pop tarts with foam squares, and glued everything onto a card base.

Card 2: Toaster

I stamped the toaster image on gray cardstock and used Copic markers (N4N6) to color the bottom and side buttons. I colored the pop tart (E34W1) and stamped colorful sprinkles with various Lawn Fawn inks. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images as well as the slit in the toaster to hold the pop tart.

For the background, I masked off part of the bottom and used spun sugar Distress Ink with a stencil. I stamped the sentiment "Poppin' up to say" and glued on the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment that was cut from pink cardstock. The toaster and pop tart are adhered with foam squares.

Card 3: Avocado Toast

I colored my stamped images with Copic markers (Avocado: YG03YG13YG17; seed: E34E37E39E57; skin: YG67 with E34 because I don't have an olive green. Toast: E34E37E00). Then I used the jelly stamp with Lawn Fawn cilantro ink to stamp an avocado schmear on the toast.

I created the polka dot border with gold embossing powder and Lawn Fawn's Valentine Borders dies. For the background, I randomly stamped avocado and toast images on kraft cardstock with VersaMark.

I stamped the sentiment on a banner cut from Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment banners. I also cut out a white stitched rectangle with Lawn Fawn's outside in stitched rectangles for the inside of the card and stamped a sentiment inside that says "Happy <Heart> Day." Once all the pieces were complete, I glued everything together and used foam squares for the avocado and toast.

Card 4: Peanut Butter and Jelly

The toast images were colored as before and stamped with Lawn Fawn inks (pizza crust and grape jelly) to make the peanut butter and jelly schmears. For the background, I lined up the heart and arrow border dies at an angle and ran it through my die cut machine several times to create a pattern. I also used the same heart border die to cut out purple hearts. I stamped the sentiment with grape jelly ink and popped up the images with foam squares. Once the background was glued on to the card base, I glued on the purple hearts.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting!
