Altenew Mushroom Cottage

Altenew Mushroom Cottage

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hello crafty friends! Lieschen here excited to share with you some crafty inspiration using Altenew's Mushroom Cottage dies. These dies are great to create a scene for any crafty project you have in mind. For today, I used them to make a greeting card.

I started by creating my A2 card base, then I trimmed a front panel piece out of Lawn Fawn Spiffier Speckles paper pack. Then, I glued the front panel piece onto my card base.

Once I was done with creating my card base, I use the Altenew's Mushroom Cottage dies to die cut the pieces out of colored, vellum, and holographic card stock. I die cut extras to later glue them for dimenssion.

After all die cutting was done, I glued all the pieces together.

Now, for the fun part! Assembling the die cuts to see where I wanted them on my card. Once I was sure I knew where I wanted them, I glued them to the card.

I needed a fun sentiment for this card, so I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Altenew's Mushroom Sentiment stamp set on black card stock with white embossing powder. Then, I applied some foam adhesive and taped it on the front of the card.

Now that my card was done, all that was left was to pair it to a matching envelope and it is ready to be sent to a loved one.

I truly hope today's blog post has give you inspiration to do something fun and creative this week!
