Avery Elle Astronauts Thinking of You Card

Hey there my crafty friends! It’s Cassie back with another card to share with you! We’re going to color up some astronauts from the new Avery Elle Astronauts set, and make a night sky using some of the new Alcohol Inks.

1.Take a piece of yupo paper and put a generous amount of Alcohol Blending Solution on it. Now take your Cobalt and Vineyard Alcohol Inks and drop those all over your paper.

2.Using the Alcohol Ink Air Blower, you’ll squeeze air around on your yupo to move the inks.

3.At this point, you may want to bring in some Sterling Alloy in little drops. Keep adding ink and blowing it around until you are happy with your background. Set it off to the side to dry.

4.Using your Misti, stamp out the speech bubbles from the Avery Elle Speech Bubbles stamp as well as the astronauts from the Astronauts stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

5.Color your images with your Copic Markers.

6.Cut the images out with the matching dies.

7.Trim down your Yupo panel and draw little dots and stars on the background using a white gel pen.

8.Cut and score your card base, and then decorate the inside with images and sentiments.

9.Attach your colored images to the front of your yupo panel using liquid glue and 3D foam squares.

10.Attach the panel to front of your card base.

Making alcohol ink backgrounds is so much fun, and they never really turn out the same, so have fun playing. I hope this inspired you to get crafty!
