Catherine Pooler Dragonflies Card by Katie

Catherine Pooler Dragonflies Card by Katie

Hey there friends, Katie here today with a bright and happy card.  This one is a post holiday card perfect for saying thank you and showing gratitude.  It features some new Catherine Pooler Flight of the Dragonfly Stamps & Dies.

Here is how I made this- First I stamped the dragonflies from CP Flight of the Dragonfly using my Misti on Copic friendly white paper.  Then I die cut them with the coordinating Flight of the Dragonfly Die Set. Then I colored them with my Copics (colors listed below).

Next, I used my blending brush and distress oxides to color the background.  I used Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron, Shaded Lilac.

Then I used the circles from the stamp set with a few other distress colors and stamped on the base.  The additional colors were Wilted Violet and Salvaged Patina.  I stamped the sentiment and lines on the base with Archival ink.  I trimmed off the corners and mounted my dragonflies with foam tape.

I had some shimmery blue cardstock which I cut some triangles and added to this layer using some Scrappy Tape.

I took this layer and mounted it on a white base.  Then I used glue dots to add some little gems.

Here is a bonus close up image of the dragonflies.  You likely can’t see it, but I came back in and added some shimmer to their wings using Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pens.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Thank you so much for visiting today!
