Celebrating the Seasons

Celebrating the Seasons

Posted by Marla Harris on

Hi friends, it's Marla here with a new card featuring products from Catherine Pooler Designs.  I love punny sentiments and this card certainly shares a new take on the "Season's Greetings" sentiment typically found on Christmas cards.  I chose a bright spring color motif, but you can recreate it with a color scheme to match your current season.  Let's jump into the card design.
I started by selecting a soft rainbow assortment of ink colors.  I used Catherine Pooler's "Pucker Up, Do-Si-Do, Catching Rays, In the Park, Cummerbund and Serenade".  Next, I aligned the four-season sentiments from the "Season's of Love" stamp set in my Misti and repeat stamped moving my cardstock up a 1/2" at a time.  Next, I used two of my "Hero Arts Nested Rectangle Infinity Dies".  I cut the center out of my stamped panel and then used a larger one to cut a layering panel from black cardstock.  I adhered the two die cut rectangles together and added foam tape to the back of the black panel.  Then, I adhered all three pieces to a top folding A2 card base.
Using the "Pucker Up" ink, I stamped the tree from the "In Every Season" stamp. Then, I stamped my sentiments from the "Season's of Love" stamp set and cut all of the pieces out.  I added foam squares to the sentiments and tree and adhered them to the center panel.  I stamp both the leaves and bird onto the background to finish the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Until next time.... Marla

  • That’s a beautiful card! I love how you made your own cardstock with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter. This has to be one of the best cards I’ve seen in months.
