Christmas with Spellbinders and Pinkfresh Studio

Christmas with Spellbinders and Pinkfresh Studio

Posted by Marla Harris on

Hello, friends.  It's Marla here today with a new card share featuring a couple of new Spellbinders' dies paired with Pinkfresh Studio products. Now that summer is coming to a close, I am in full on Christmas card making mode.  Every year, I always fall behind and I am determined to get my cards made and posted early this year.

I started my project with Spellbinders' "Nested Tree Frame" and "Festive Ornaments" dies.  I cut some of the layers using rose gold foiled card stock and a few from white card stock.  Then, I assembled all of the pieces together.  I added a bit of dimension with foam squares to the back of the polka dot ornament and set the pieces aside. *Side note: This photo captures the true color of the rose gold best.

Pinkfresh Studio's holiday release was beautiful, so I couldn't resist incorporating a few of their products into my card design.  I began with the "Poinsettia Frame" cling stamp. I stamped the image using Versamark clear embossing ink, onto an A2 panel, then I added Lawn Fawn "Rose Gold" embossing powder and heat set it.  I used the coordinating "Poinsettia Frame" die to cut out the image, adding more foam squares to the back of this panel and then I adhered it onto an A2 top folding card base.

After adhering the remaining layers to the card front, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from Pinkfresh Studios "Deck the Halls" stamp set. Then I used the coordinating die to cut it out.  Using the same die, I cut the sentiment outline once from the rose gold foiled card stock and two for time using white card stock.  I glued all three layers of the white die cuts together for dimension and slightly offset those layers with the rose gold piece to help the sentiment stand out against the background.

simple This completes my card today.  My vision for the card design was simple elegance, and I think I was able to achieve that with these lovely new products. Thank you for stopping by.  Until next time..... Marla
