Hello there! This is Colleen Beamish from @humorbean_cards and today I’m sharing a card that proves you don’t need a ton of layers or techniques to create something really special. This design is all about letting the dies do the work while adding just a few thoughtful details to bring everything to life.

For this card, I used the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Outdoor Kitchen Dies to build this charming little scene. I love how these dies create such a complete vignette—everything from the oven to the hanging utensils feels cohesive and detailed without needing much extra embellishment.
To keep things clean and modern, I adhered everything to a simple white card base. I used a mix of cardstock and metallic paper for some of the elements, which adds just a hint of shine and elevates the overall look without overpowering the design.
Most of the pieces are popped up with foam tape to give the scene dimension. Even subtle dimension like this makes a big difference, especially on a card with a lot of small elements—it helps everything stand out and feel a bit more dynamic.

For the sentiment, I chose a sweet and simple phrase from the Well Played Sir Stamp Set: “Proud of you always.” I love how it tucks perfectly into the open space and complements the cozy, homey feel of the kitchen scene.
As a finishing touch, I added highlights with a white gel pen. This is one of my favorite ways to bring die cut pieces to life—just a few small strokes can mimic light and add that extra bit of charm.

This card came together quickly, but it still feels thoughtful and detailed—perfect for when you want something handmade without spending hours on layers and techniques. Be sure to check out the entire card making process over on the Scrapbook Pal YouTube Channel!
Happy crafting!
