Hi, crafty friends! It's Andrea back with another Halloween-ish card. Who would have thought the Grim Reaper could be adorable?!
This
Dancin' Grim from Spellbinders is so cute and easy to put together! I cut the elements from different colors of cardstocks and created some dimension with distress inks. On the hood and robe, I applied
Black Soot, and to the skeleton I added a touch of
Lost Shadow. I layered the pieces together with liquid adhesive, but waited to assemble the reaper until my background was ready.
To create a background for my reaper, I diecut white cardstock with
Spellbinders Essential Arches Dies and blended it with three shades of distress inks:
Wilted Violet,
Villainous Potion, and
Black Soot. I diecut a larger arch from black glitter paper and adhered the two arches together. I trimmed some patterned paper from my stash, affixed it to a white card, and attached the layered arches on top.
I placed the body of the reaper onto the card, affixed a foam square in the opening of the diecut, and attached the head to the foam square. I stamped a sentiment from
Spellbinders Halloween Sentiments set with
Versamark ink and white heat-embossed it.
I love how this cute reaper swings back and forth, and I'm always down for a good pun! I hope this card inspires you to check out Spellbinders' Dancin' Halloween collection.

Cute card love the colors and I’m not really a purple freak.
