Here’s a fun birthday card to share with you featuring the Fast Track Friends stamps and dies by My Favorite Things! This stamp set was fun to play with can’t you just think of a little boy that will love getting this birthday card!
To create this card, first I stamped and Copic colored the little race car bunny and some smaller elements from the MFT Fast Track Friends stamp set. The Copic markers I used are: Y13, Y17, R14, R27, E40, E42, W0, W1, W3, C1 and C2. Then I die cut the pieces with the Fast Track Friends coordinating dies.
Next I created the other elements for the card. I cut a stitched rectangle background panel using a pattern paper from Lawn Fawn that I had in my stash and the largest die from Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles dies. I centered the panel on the white card base and glued it in place with liquid glue.
Next I cut strips of red, gold and black for racing stripes using the Pinkfresh Studio Slim Stripes dies. Then I cut a flag for the sentiment using red cardstock and the medium size die from MFT Jumbo Fishtail Flags. The flag was larger than needed for the sentiment so I trimmed it down ¼” at a time on each side until the dimensions looked right. I really wanted to use this shape because of the flag shape. Stamping the sentiment and arranging the stars around it completed the sentiment banner.
Lastly I assembled the card. I used foam tape to pop up the race car bunny. I glued down the racing stripes and also glued 4 of the racing pennant flags together to create a fun little finish line look at the end of the racing stripes. For an extra bit of playfulness, the sentiment banner and race car bunny are tipped just a bit.
Hope you enjoyed this card today. Check out the Fast Track Friends stamp set, there are 3 more racing theme critters to play with that I’m sure I’ll be using to create more fun cards!
