Instructions:
1. Cut out pumpkin, stem and at least 8 leaves ( some small and some large) from white cardstock.
2. With a blender brush blend some Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral and Rusty Hinge Oxide inks on your pumpkin and Gathered Twigs on the stem.
3. Blend other colors listed onto the various leaves.
4. With the ink smears left on your surface from blending your leaves spray a bit of water and smear your leaves in it for color interest.
5. Put some Gathered Twigs ink onto your glass surface (see below) and add some water to it and mix together. Splatter over the colored leaves and pumpkins.
6. Cut out a piece of patterned paper to fit inside an A2 sized card. Use blender brush and Gathered Twigs and ink lightly around the edge. Adhere to Kraft card base
7. Cut out banner from white cardstock and apply a bit of ink on the banner like you did above. Emboss with VersaMark and gold embossing powder.
(I used the Happy from the Winter Wavy Sayings and the Thanksgiving from the Happy Happy Happy sentiment set.)
8. Assemble your pumpkin, and leaves. I used foam squares to add dimension.
9. Use the glitter pen to add some dots and details to leaves and emboss with gold embossing.
10. Add your sentiment strip with foam squares.
This was a look completely out of my comfort zone. I had fun using some of the techniques I have seen using the oxide distress inks.
My granddaughter who is 5 years old and loves to hang out in my craft room saw the other pumpkin I had distressed and asked why I had a messy pumpkin?
