Hi crafty friends! I hope your weekend is off to a good start. Today I want to share with you an easy card to make using the Geometric Frames stamps and dies from Hero Arts. Even though this stamp set is not for Valentine's, I wanted to use it with a Valentine's theme.
I started by creating an A2 card base. I then trimmed a red color card stock front panel piece that I glued onto the card base. Next, I trimmed another front panel out of white card stock. On this piece, I stamped one of the images several times using an acrylic block and Pink Champagne ink from Catherine Pooler.
Next, I stamped another image using Rouge Ink on an acrylic block to add more to the background.
I wanted to add a bit of shine to the background, so I splattered some gold watercolor.
On a separate piece of a white card stock, I stamped one of the Geometric Frames using Champagne Metallic ink. Then, I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I didn't want the frame to look empty, so I stamped one of the small images inside the frame using Rouge ink. Then, I die cut the frame with the coordinating dies from the Geometric Frames set.
After I die cut the Geometric Frame, I added some foam adhesive to glue it to the stamped front panel.
For the sentiment, I stamped the word "thanks" from the Geometric Frames set using Cranberry Fizz ink. Then, I used the coordinating dies and die cut the sentiment. I die cut extras to glue together to add dimension to the sentiment. Next, I glued the sentiment inside the Geometric Frame.
To add some more dimension and sparkle, I glued some Pinkfresh Studio Magenta Clear Drops.
To finish the card, I paired it with a complimentary envelope.
Now it will be ready to be sent to a loved one!
I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial and that it has given you inspiration to do something fun and creative this weekend. See you next time!
