Honey Bee Stamps By Your Side Stamps and Lovely Layers Love Birds

Honey Bee Stamps By Your Side Stamps and Lovely Layers Love Birds

Posted by Irene Mejia on

Hello, crafty friends! Irene here @wheniinkofyou today with a bird-themed card. This project features the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Love Birds Die set.

I kept this project clean and simple to be masculine-friendly. I began by cutting all the bird layers in white cardstock. Next, I ink blended the bodies in Catherine Pooler inks in Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt for the tail feathers and wings. I used Limoncello and Orange Twist for the chest and neck areas. The head layers are ink blended in Rockin' Red. I assembled each bird with liquid glue.

I inked the beak and feet layers in Chiffon. I colored the eye center black with a marker and added a white highlight with a white gel pen. I added the eye layer.

I created the bird perch with the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Bird Cage and silver foil cardstock. I added the birds to the perch and then added the feet to each bird.

I cut white cardstock to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. Next, in black ink, I stamped "Some birdie loves you" from the By Your Side Stamp Set.

I glued the birds to the white cardstock panel and added the piece to a black A2-size black card base.

Finally, I stamped hearts on each side of the sentiment using the Catherine Pooler In Every Season stamp set and Cotton Candy Ink.
