Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Alice's Gingerbread Lane

Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Alice's Gingerbread Lane

Posted by Kathy Schweinfurth on

The holidays just got tastier!  I must admit, I can't make a gingerbread house to save my life.  The walls always fall over and the roof caves in and I never get to do the fun, decorating part - it's pathetic :)  I'm thrilled that with the new Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Alice's Gingerbread Lane I can finally make and decorate gingerbread houses...and not just a house, but a whole lane!

To create my slimline card...

1)  I layered light blue cardstock to the card base.

2)  At the bottom of the card, I layered white 'snow hills' that I hand cut.

3)  Using the Lovely Layers Alice's Gingerbread Lane die set,  I cut out all the different pieces from different cardstock that coordinated together and followed the layering guide to assemble the houses, trees and car.

4)  Then, I arranged the assembled images on the card to determine where to adhere them.

5)  I popped up the images with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Strips and adhered the images to the card base creating the scene.

6)  I added the "clouds" which were cut from white cardstock using the 'shrub' or 'icing' dies in the set.

7)  To finish, I stamped and cut out the sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Sprinkled with Joy Stamps and coordinating dies.
