I Sea It's Your Birthday by Daniella

Hello creative friends!! Meet Sunshine & Sunset, 2 happy little sea ponies who are sure to make anyone smile on their special day. This card is full of life, and dimension. Below is my step by step creative process. Enjoy!!

Step 1. I stamped out Lawn Fawn’s Seahorsin’ Around images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copic colored. I used yellow tones for Sunshine and corals for Sunset. I stamped the grass pieces with Distress Oxide ink colors, Twisted Citron, and Cracked Pistachio. Then die cut all images with the coordinating die set.

Step 2. I cut my banner using Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banners dies from sturdy white card stock. Before folding, I curved the sentiment onto an acrylic block to match the curve of banner and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I added Colorbox Gold Pigment Ink to the edges with a Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending Tool.

Step 3. I blended on some Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers to the bottom of my circle window, followed by Salty Ocean at the top. Then spritzed my background with water using a Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.

Step 4. I took the coordinating bubble image and stamped it onto my background with Versamark ink. I used the tallest tree from Lawn Fawn’s Cheery Christmas stamp set, and stamped it with Distress Oxide Ink, Cracked Pistachio at the bottom of my window.

Step 5. Using Mama Elephant’s All Prettied Up die set to cut the front panel out of pattern card stock.

Then I adhered the background panel with tape runner to my A2 card base and used foam adhesive strips and squares for the front panel.

Step 6. I added my images and banner using Tombow Mono Multi XL glue, foam adhesive squares, and Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Then I stamped out a few of the images in Distress Oxide Ink using Abandoned Coral onto the inside of the card for a sweet surprise. I finished my card off with some Ranger Glossy Accents, for bubbles as well as the heart images. Also a Sakura Glaze Pen in green was used to detail the grasses. I added a few sparkles here and there with a Wink of Stella Shimmer Pen.

Step 7. Lastly I stamped out most of the coordinating images onto my white envelope using complimentary colors of Distress Oxide inks. I chose Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Wild Honey, Peacock Feathers and also Cracked Pistachio.
