Lawn Fawn Hive Five Stamps and Dies

Lawn Fawn Hive Five Stamps and Dies

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hello crafty friends! Lieschen here excited to share with you another card for some crafty inspiration. Today's shaker card features stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.
After I created an A2 card base, I die cut the beehive and other pieces from the Magic Iris Beehive Add On. I die cut the beehive, flowers, and leaves a few times each so that I could glue them together to add dimension.
Once I was done die cutting, I inked the beehive and the branch die cuts with Pinkfresh Studios inks: Marigold, Clementine, Warm Buff, and Doe.
I wanted to add some texture to the background of the card, so I used the Floral Diamond Block 3D embossing folder and inked it with Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine.
Next, on a piece of scrap of white card stock I stamped one of the sentiments from the Magic Messages stamp set. Then I inked it with the same colors I used on the beehive.
Once I was done with the stamping and inking, I trimmed the sentiment piece a bit. I know it looks a bit weird but once the card is finished you will not even notice it. Then, I started by assembling some of the pieces onto the embossed front panel piece.
Now for another fun part of this card - I used the adorable Hive Five stamp set, which is full of adorable images and cute sentiments. From this set I stamped some of the images that I felt would go with the die cut piece from the Magic Iris Beehive Add On.
When I was done stamping, I used Copic markers to color each image. I used R11, YG41, R22, E31, E53, E21, E35, Y15, B000, Y35, and W1.
After I was done coloring, I die cut the images, finished assembling the card, and added some sequins to make this shaker card sparkle a bit.
Lastly, I added some glossy accents to the wings of those precious bees and paired the card to a complimentary envelope. Now the card will be ready to be mailed to a lovely friend.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it. See you next time with another fun crafty inspiration!
