Lawn Fawn Sweet Spiders Halloween Projects

Lawn Fawn Sweet Spiders Halloween Projects

Posted by Kay Norman on

Hey! It's Kay here today to show you three fun Halloween projects I made using Lawn Fawn's new Sweet Spiders line of products.  I used:

Lawn Cuts - Sweet SpidersClear Stamps - Sweet SpidersColoring Stencils - Sweet SpidersClear Stamps - Sweet Spiders Add-on, and Stencil Spiderweb Background

To make this "Have a Treat-Filled Birthday" shaker card I did the following:

Step 1:

Using the corner spiderweb background stencil ink with Wilted Violet Distress Ink

Step 2:

Stamp and stencil the spiders and treats with the Sweet Spider coloring stencils.  I used Distress Ink in Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade and Black Soot. I also used a few other random ink colors from my stash.

Step 3:

Die cut them out from the Sweet Spiders Dies. I added Rangers Glossy Accents to all my pieces after they were cut out.

I also filled in the rest of my card front with Wilted Violet Distress Ink.

Step 4:

I cut out a black A2 sized frame with my rectangle dies and adhered a piece of acetate with 1/8" Scrappy Tape.

Step 5:

I adhered some skinny 3D foam strips around the edge of the frame.

Step 6:

I stamped and embossed "Have a Treat-Filled Birthday" with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I trimmed down the words and glued them (with my favorite Bearly Art Glue) on my stencil card front, making sure the frame wouldn't cover up the sentiment.

Step 7:

I glued a few of the die cut pieces to my web and the rest I let shake around with my shaker pieces. Carefully add your frame to the front making sure there is no gaps for the shaker pieces to leak out. Adhere card front to an A2 sized card.

Now shake, shake, shake! So fun!!

You can certainly change the sentiment to Halloween but I love having a Halloween Birthday card on hand.

Here are the two other projects I made using these Sweet Spiders supplies:

For my Happy Halloween card I decided to incorporate pink into the mix, it seems like a fun little twist to the traditional orange and black.

Below is a tag I made with the Pinkfresh Foldable Shaker Tag die, silver embossing powder and some Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.

I hope these Sweet Spider projects have made you want to make some fun Halloween projects yourself. If you have any questions on these projects be sure to leave a comment.

Happy Halloween Season!!!
