Princess Tower Birthday Card by Kay

Posted by ScrapbookPal Inc on

Step 1: Emboss and A2 size piece of (this will cut the window too) the light gray cardstock with the Impresslits Embossing Folder

Step 2: This is what it should look like.  I used my Tonic Tim Holtz paper piercer to gently fold open the window. The paper piercer helped the thin area on the window to keep from folding in the wrong spot.

Step 3: Use Oxide Frayed Burlap and Oxide Hickory Smoke to add some color to the embossed stone.

Step 4: Take a white A2 card base and apply some Oxide Broken China ink to area that will be directly behind the window opening.

Step 5: I adhered my girl diecut where I wanted her to appear through the window and adhered her with some Scrappy Tape.

Then adhere the embossed panel to my card base.

Step 6: Stamp Happy Birthday on your banner and adhere with 3D foam squares.

Step 7: Cut out ivy and leaves, flowers, butterfly as you prefer and adhere them to your embossed wall as desired.  For this card I thought the flowers were too large so I just used the leaves. I adhered some with foam squares cut in half to add some dimension.

I made four of these cards. Two with butterflies and two without.  I will be making many more of these. I just love this Embossing Folder with cut out design.
