Roller Coaster Slider Card

Posted by Jennifer Li on

Hello, crafty friends! Today I have a fun interactive birthday card that features cute Lawn Fawn products! I love how Lawn Fawn creates stamps that can mix and match and that's exactly what I did to make this card. Instead of using the cute critters in the Coaster Critters set, I used images from Tiny Friends. So let's get started!

Step 1: I stamped, colored, and die cut the images I wanted to use. I glued and assembled the booths and attached the kids' accessories so they would be ready to arrange in my scene. I also stamped and die cut my sentiment banner. (One thing I was really excited about was using a marshmallow stamp to create the cans and a bubble stamp to create the ball for the game!)

Step 2: I created the background by ink blending a sky using tumbled glass Distress Ink and the Lawn Fawn cloud stencil. I splattered broken china Distress Ink to add some interest to the sky.

Step 3: To create the grass, I die cut two strips of white cardstock and ink blended twisted citron and mowed lawn Distress inks. I also splattered mowed lawn Distress Ink onto the grass pieces.

Step 4: I die cut the Lawn Fawn Peek a Boo backdrop from some heavy cardstock and trimmed off one of the inner frame pieces to create a larger rectangle for my scene.

Step 5: I glued the grass pieces and roller coaster track to the back of the frame.

Step 6: I created the slider by using a penny, small foam square, roller coaster car. Once the slider mechanism was set, I popped up the entire panel onto a card base using foam tape.

Step 7: Finally, I attached the rest of the images and sentiment with glue and foam squares and added some glitter pen shimmer to the balloons.

I hope this card inspires you to mix and match your stamps and get creative! Happy crafting!
