Sizzix - Cosmopolitan, The View Stamps and Stencils

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hello crafty friends! Today's card features new stamps and stencils from Sizzix latest release. The stamp set I used has three different views that can be used for cards or crafty projects for any occasion. I decided to make a Christmas card with one of the stamps that comes in the Cosmopolitan, The View stamp set.

I started by trimming my front panel piece out of colored card stock. Then, I stamped and heat embossed one of the images from the Cosmopolitan, The View stamp set with white embossing powder.

Once I was done embossing, I used the Cosmopolitan, The View stencil to ink  blend the image with Distress Oxide inks. I used: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, and Candied Apple.

After inking the image, I splattered white watercolor on the background to make it look like snow. Then, I put it aside to dry. I needed to add Christmas sentiments for this card, so I used my BetterPress and the Merry & Bright Sentiment Strips to use two of the sentiments from the set.

Next, I glued the front panel to my A2 card base and added foam adhesive on the sentiments and taped them to the card. I still wanted more bling, so I added some embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio.

Now that my card was done, all that was left was to pair it to a complimentary envelope and it will be ready to be mailed to a loved one this holiday season!

I hope this card has given you inspiration to do something fun and creative this week. See you next time!
