Hello crafty friends! It's Lieschen from Harshgurl sharing another fun card. Today's card features the
Sizzix-Tim Holtz Reindeer Sleigh dies that are perfect for any holiday craft project.
I started by die cutting all the pieces from the
Reindeer Sleigh die set out of colored card stock. I die cut the sleigh and reindeers out of black card stock. Then the house die cuts out of different pink tones of card stock. I die cut each of these three times to add dimension. Then I glued them together and put them aside to work on the background.
Next, I used two of the dies from Spellbinders Postage Edge. One with the postage edge and another with its complimentary rectangle die. I die cut the rectangle die out of a light blue card stock and the postage edge out of a light brown card stock.
Once I was done inking the rectangle background, I splattered white watercolor and then glued this piece onto the postage die cut.
Then, I trimmed a piece out of silver card stock and glued it to the A7 card base. Next, I glued the inked background onto the card base.
To finish the card, I glued all the die cut pieces onto the background, and added some accents with a white gel pen on both the sleigh and all the reindeer. And just for fun, I also added Carnation Red Liquid Pearls to the nose of the lead reindeer! Then, I heat embossed and die cut a sentiment from the Simon Hurley Retro Holiday stamp set.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made this card. See you next time with another fun card tutorial!
