Hey there, Carrie Rhoades here. I am thrilled to be back on the Video Design Team with Scrapbook Pal. For my first video back I am sharing two cards made with the Spellbinders Betterpress Christmas release. I will be focusing on one plate, the Merry Christmas World plate. Each card is going to have a unique look and feel, but both have a touch of pink! You can watch the video right here for all the details, tips and fun.
Now let's take a closer look at each card.
I added to the Betterpress background of this card with a little ink blending of Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink. I topped that with a little Yuletide Distress Mica Splatter. That made for a gorgeous background.
I wanted the background to shine in this card as I love the look of the image pressed into the paper, but I also felt this background could be topped with some fun things. I used the American Holly die set for just that. I love how this card turned out with a touch of pink to it.
Now let's gift this background a hole new look.
This background was done with Wild Berry Betterpress Ink and then touches of color added in with Copic Markers.
For this card I topped it with an ornament from the Festive Ornaments die set. This is such a fun die set and one that can go with so many Christmas things you probably have in your stash and yet can work all on it's own.
I had so much fun playing with the Merry Christmas World Betterpress plate, I love that is takes up an entire background. I hope you are inspired to create some Christmas cards too and maybe play with the Betterpress.
Thanks for stopping by!
