Spellbinders On The Farm Collection

Spellbinders On The Farm Collection

Posted by Melanie Smith on

Welcome Back Friends,

DT Melanie here with you from @melaniesmithstamps and I have a fun projects to share with you, featuring the brand-new Spellbinders "On The Farm Collection" available now in the ScrapbookPal Store. I absolutely love creating scenes with my cards and when I heard I would be playing with this adorable farm collection and I saw the size of these precious animals, I just knew I would be creating something special. Let's take a look at what I came up with...

The first thing I did was assemble all the animals in this die cut collection. If you would like to see all of them, make sure to check out my reel that will be over on Instagram!

Here I have used the "Ham It Up" die set and the "Spring Chicks" die sets from Spellbinders as well as the sentiment that is included with the Chicks. Then I added two extra items from my Honeybee Stamps Stash. The "HoneyBee Stamps Farmhouse Fields Layering Stencil" for the background scene, and the  "On The Farm Honey Cuts" which were a perfect addition to Spellbinders newest collection. Don't you just love it when items you fall in love with coordinate with stuff you already have? I sure do!

We are stenciling the background with Distress Oxide Inks from Ranger, and I am going to show you a trick on how I colored my sky AND did the puffy clouds, so make sure you check out the full length video and watch it till the very end. My clouds did not turn out as expected on my first try, but it was a perfect mistake that turned into this...

The clouds are dimensional, puffy, and even look shadowed and lifelike. How can you beat that? Below is my video. Let me know in the comments what you think. I would love to connect and Craft Life Together!
