Hi there! It's Andrea with you sharing an elegant, floral card featuring Hero Arts Build a Flower Dies. I adore flower dies, and the new Build a Flower Dies are fabulous!
I began by diecutting the blooms from white cardstock. In order to achieve more dimension, I extended the cut lines of the petals with my scissors. Next, I blended the flowers with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, leaving the centers of the blooms white. For the leaves I cut apart two of the larger flowers and blended the pieces with
Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I misted the back sides of the diecuts with water to soften the paper's fibers and make shaping them easier. After shaping the pieces, I assembled the flowers with liquid adhesive, finishing the centers with a yellow jewel.
I created that scripty "patterned paper" by stamping Hero Arts Scripty Bold Prints stamp in black. I diecut it with Spellbinders Postage Edge Rectangles Dies. Using the same dies, I cut a smaller rectangle from vellum and adhered the rectangles together. After attaching the layered piece to a white card, I trimmed away the excess.
Thanks for stopping by!
