I make alot of cards and do alot of scoring so this is my third tool replacement. I tried to extend the life of my previous tools by using an emery board to re-sharpen the tip/edge so that it would make nice, clean scores again, but this doesn't last long.
The tool simply wears down after extended use and doesn't make a clear, distinct line for very long. I've found this to be extremely challenging when making multiple, parallel scores for card layers. The tool becomes dull, won't make clear lines and sometimes jumps the goove to the adjacent groove.
Even though it would be more expensive, a rounded edge, metal scoring tool wouldn't wear out and would give a nicer effect. Perhaps this could be offered separately for crafters how give their Scor-Pal alot of use. I'd certainly buy one!
