Hi Friends! Kelly here with a fun 3D Gardenia card to share today.
I used the Spellbinders Gardenia die set along with the Through the Garden Gate Sentiments stamp set.
To start off I die cut the amount of die cuts it says on the dies
Then I used a mouse type foam pad to dry emboss lines with an Embossing Stylus on the white petals to give them the curved 3D look.
I didn't color them. I kept the petals white except for the 2 inside ones which I used Copic YR24 for only the inside. I glued the petals all together by alternating them.
Then I colored the die cut leaves with Copic markers, G82,YG61,YG63 and I used the darkest copic to flick vein lines.
I used my emboss tool to coordinate with those lines.
Then I made my background by using Distress inks. I Ink blended Salvaged Patina,Gathered Twigs, Vintage photo & Peeled Paint. I took a stencil & went over the areas with the same inks but more concentrated. I stamped some random script designs.
Then I added crackle paste in 2 areas & let it dry overnight.
I trimmed my panel down ¼" on the top & side to make it 4"x5.25"
I glued it onto a Green card base.
Then I stamped "Miss you" from the stamp set with Versamark & I used Lawn Fawn White Embossing powder & heat melted it. I used the same Distress inks to ink blend on top for an embossed resist effect. I glued my leaves down first then the flower on top. Then I added the Sentiment strip but I wrapped some twine thread around it 1st. I tied a bow & glued it to it.
I added a few gems and some Wink of Stella to the white flower petals for a bit of shine. Can't see that in pics but in person it sparkles.
That's it. It's really easy to make a 3d Gardenia with this set.
Thanks for stopping by 🌸
