Hello crafty friends, Carrie Rhoades here. Thank you for joining me today, here on the ScrapbookPal blog. I am sharing another die set from Altenew in the Build-a-Flower series. It's the Pink Star Tulip. The BIGGEST set in the Build-a-Flower series. But I think you'll be surprised, like I was, at how easy it goes together. There are eleven dies in the set that you layer together to make this stunning flower. I have a video for you showing you how easy it really is.
If you cannot see the video on your screen you can also watch it here.
Here's a close up look at the card I made with this die set.
I chose to do my flower in shades of Orange. I started out with a light orange card stock and ink blended on some darker orange ink to bring each petal to life. Then just layered up each piece by following the guide that comes with the set. It really is that easy. Plus this die set cuts a key into each layer making it impossible to mess up aligning each piece.
I touched up my flower and leaves with a bit of splatter. Look how detailed that flower is! It's just stunning!
Now let's chat about the rest of the card. My background was created with a 3D Embossing Folder, Rustling Leaves. I love how it has the circle in the center. I added a bit of sparkle, splatter and ink blending to this panel for even more visual interest.
I finished it off with a sentiment from the One-Go: Words & Banners stamp set and some color coordinated sequins.
I highly recommend the dies in the Build-a-Flower collection. They are so well made as far an aesthetic and ease of use. And they are great to have on hand for so many occasions.
Thank you for stopping by and watching the video.
