Altenew- Peony and Lilac Swag

Altenew- Peony and Lilac Swag

Posted by Teri Wilson on

Who doesn't love flowered cards? It is Teri with TerisMailbox posting for ScrapbookPal. Today I present three unique cards all starting with Altenew's Peony and Lilac Swag.

I am also sharing how to use the Altenew Moroccan Tile Embossing folder as a base including embossing a slimline panel and dressing another up with a little color. You will also learn how to match the coordinating stencils and achieve beautiful dimension using Altenew's Blending Tools and two shades of colors.

After stamping the image, I used multiple Distress Inks starting with Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral.

The background is done with Abandoned Coral and The Halftone Stencil from Altenew with two blooms stamped and embossed in opposite corners. I show you how to add the background after stamping and coloring.

Here is the Slimline with the extended embossed background. I used the coordinating Peony and Lilac Swag Die Set to cut the blooms and sentiments.

Check out the background created by running a Distress Ink Pad over the positive embossed side!
