Hi crafty friends! Lieschen here excited to share with you another fun card tutorial. Today's card features stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler's latest release. These stamps and dies are perfect for to celebrate a loved one's birthday!
I started by using my Misti to stamp the Block & Strip Birthday background stamp on white card stock with an embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Once I was done heat embossing the background, I masked the front panel piece and only leaving a wide strip on the middle uncovered. Then I used Sunshine, Summer Shower, and Sparkling Rose inks from Pinkfresh Studio to ink blend the strip. After I was done with inking, I trimmed two thin strips out of holographic paper and glue them on top and the bottom of the inked strip. Then, I glued the front panel piece onto my A2 card base.
Next, on a separate piece of card stock I stamped a few images from the Boba With My Best-Tea stamp set. For these images I used Midnight, Rockin' Red, Grass Skirt, It's A Girl, Minted, and Catching Rays CP Inks. For the smaller areas I used Copic markers to color part of the images.
I wanted to add some balloons to the card so I die the round tag from the Mini Tags die set and heat embossed sentiments from the Mini Birthday Wishes Sentiments and Boba With My Best-Tea stamp sets with white embossing powder. Then, I added some string to the "balloons" and used foam adhesive to glued them to the front panel piece together with the stamped images from earlier.
I wanted to add some sparkle to the cute cups from the Boba With My Best-Tea stamp set so I used some Stickles on part of the cups.
Once I was done with the card all that was left was to pair it to a complimentary envelope. Now it's ready to be sent to a loved one on their birthday!
I hope this card tutorial has given you inspiration to do something fun and creative today. See you next time!
