Avery Elle Bigger Cake Stamps & Starburst Oval Dies

Posted by Mary Jo Johnston on

This many candles means a bigger cake!

We're making wishes and celebrating birthdays today with two easy, colorful cards using the new Avery Elle Bigger Cake Stamps and Dies, and the new Starburst Oval Dies.

Those adorable candle images were just calling for a shaker card!

For the first card, stamp and color several of the candles plus the bear, using multiple Copic colors of your choice.  Die cut your images.

Die cut the Starburst Oval Die from cardstock.  In preparation for the shaker window, I cut two and glued them together for a more sturdy shape.

Trim your card base to 5.5"x8.5", fold in half.  Line the back of your Starburst cardstock shape with a piece of clear acetate and dimensional foam squares or strips.

Add sprinkles, glitter, sequins and your die cut numbers.  Close the shaker by adding the card base and adhering together.

Add your die cut bear and sentiment to the front of your card.

For the second card, choose a colorful patterned paper.  Stamp and color your Bigger Cake images to coordinate with the paper you chose.  Die cut your images.

Trim a piece of white cardstock to 6"x8.5" and fold in half.  Trim your patterned paper to 6"x2.125", adhere to the left side of your card.  Trim a small strip of cardstock, in a coordinating color and adhere as a finishing strip.

Add your die cut images and sentiment to your card.

Create several cards in multiple colors and tuck them away for future celebrations!

Happy crafting! Mary Jo
