Hello crafty friends! I'm so excited to show you how I made these Boo-tastic Halloween treat bags!
Step 1: I used a Tuxedo Black Tsukineko Memento ink pad to stamp the pumpkin, halloween cat and dog from the Avery Elle Boo To You stamp set on a piece of white cardstock using my Misti stamping tool. Then I cleaned off my stamps and misti with my Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy.
Step 2: Next, I colored my stamped pumpkin, cat and dog images with various copic markers and cut them out with my Tim Holtz Kushgrip Micro Serrated Scissors. (Alternatively, you can use the coordinating dies to the Boo To You stamp set.)
Step 3: Then, I glued my colored pumpkin, cat and dog onto a piece of purple cardstock using my Lawn Fawn Glue Tube.
Step 4: I used an exacto knife to cut out a circle from the purple cardstock to make a hole behind the inside of my pumpkin image.
Step 5: I glued on the purple cardstock with the pumpkin and halloween cat and dog onto the front of a brown paper lunch bag using my Lawn Fawn Glue Tube.
Step 6: I used my Tim Holtz Kushgrip Micro Serrated Scissors to cut a hole through the front side of my brown lunch bag inside my pumpkin image so that there would be a hole from the front of the bag to reach inside for some treats.
Step 7: Next, I used the Lawn Fawn Oliver's Stitched ABCs and my Sizzix Big Shot machine to cut out the letters to spell TREATS from orange cardstock. I glued my stitched TREATS diecut letters with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube under my pumpkin image on the front of my treat bag.
Step 8: I glued a piece of orange cardstock to the inside back side of my brown bag using a Lawn Fawn glue tube so that it would look like the inside of a pumpkin looking through the front hole of the pumpkin on the front side of the treat bag.
Step 10: Last, I filled my finished treat bag with some yummy sweet treats!
I have to get creative for an indoor halloween this year so I'm planning to make a bunch of these treat bags and put them all around the house for the kiddos to collect treats. I filled this bag with candy, but I plan on filling other bags with creepy crawlers or other fun goodies at different stations around the house to make it fun for the kids when they reach inside the pumpkin. Thanks for following along to learn how I made these fun halloween treat bags! You can find the Avery Elle Boo To You stamp set (and coordinating die), Lawn Fawn dies, and other supplies I used over at the scrapbookpal.com shop.
Crafty Hugs, Beata June.
