Hi crafty friends!
Raquel here, today I’m sharing a beautiful Christmas Card using Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Nutcracker and Simply Stated: Holiday stamps.
We can begin with a top folding base in smooth black cardstock measuring 4.25” x 5.5”. For the matting layers, we’ll be using gold cardstock cut at 4.25” x 5.5”, designer paper cut at 4.125” x 5.375, and a piece of 4.25” x 5.5” green cardstock. We will be altering this green paper as follows: use the Spellbinders Distress Mix 3D embossing folder, lightly mist the cardstock it with water and emboss.

Using a Nuvo glue pen, add adhesive sparingly by tapping the pen on raised surfaces of this cardstock, and press foil onto it gently. Now cut the altered cardstock diagonally for our card front. Use double sided adhesive when adhering.
For the sentiment, use the Simply Stated Holiday stamp with Intensive black ink and apply onto black cardstock. Use the Wow Metallic Gold Rich Super fine powder and heat tool to complete this step. Now use the coordinating die to cut the sentiments by lining up the small hearts to match. You can also trace the edges with the adhesive pen to add foil, or cut a golden layer to match.

In my video tutorial linked below I share how to add all intricate layers in successive order to assemble the nutcracker and also add highlights with Copic markers and a white gel pen for more detail.
Add all matting layers along with the Nutcracker and sentiment using dimensional adhesive and top with small pearls to match. You’ve now created an elegant card you can be proud to share with loved ones! Supplies are listed below for your convenience, and I invite you to subscribe to Scrapbookpal.com for future tutorials.
Be inspired, Be Blessed!
