Welcome back to the blog! It’s Deepa from @deezinesbyd, and today I’m sharing a magical night-themed card featuring the I Love Cute Moths sets by Lawn Fawn! 🦋✨🌙

If you love adorable critter stamping, layered background patterns, and adding dimensional sparkle to your handmade designs, this project is right up your alley!

What I love most about this card is how effortlessly these Lawn Fawn sets transform a cozy night sky into a delightfully sweet scene. The I Love Cute Moths stamps and coordinating Lawn Cuts dies give you so many versatile elements that do all the heavy lifting for your focal points. For this card, I paired a bold, patterned night sky background with layered teal, black, and coral panels packed with festive, glowing accents for a look bursting with color and personality.

One of my absolute favorite details on this card is a fun background technique: using the Pinkfresh Studio Postage Edge dies combined with patterned paper to create layered, high-contrast panels! Instead of a plain background, I used sheets from the Lawn Fawn Stripes 'N Sprinkles Autumn 6x6 paper pack to build deep, starry matted layers that make the colorful moth critters instantly pop off the card.

To kick things off, I stamped out all the adorable moth images using crisp Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Instead of traditional Copic coloring, I used Pinkfresh Studio inks applied directly with the coordinating stencils to quickly shade and dress up each moth with soft pastel wings! Once colored, I die-cut every single image cleanly using the coordinating I Love Cute Moths Lawn Cuts.

The scene construction is where all the magic happens! I layered the die-cut postage panels over a diagonal striped base pattern, framing out the glowing yellow crescent moon, tiny stars, a cozy lantern, and a cute little speech bubble that reads "HAVE A NICE NIGHT." Then came the best part—decking it out with fluttering moths across every tier for maximum dimension against that rich background.

For the sentiment, I nestled a clean white strip across the lower middle section that reads "you light up my life", providing the perfect sweet anchor amidst all the starry action!

To bring it all together, I added shimmering Pinkfresh Studio Gold Dust Gems tucked around the panels and background stars. These little touches catch the light so nicely and tie all the magical textures together for a polished, eye-catching finish. 💎✨
