Hello crafters! Raquel here from @paintsandglitter. Today I’m bringing you a special card made with supplies from Honey Bee Stamps: The Lovely Layers Tool Box, the Mechanics Add-on and the Great Man stamp set along with amazing texture using the Wood Planks embossing folder.

Making a masculine card can be a challenge for some, but using these supplies makes it not only easy, but loads of fun! Incorporating Ranger Distress oxides and Distress Spritz can help you achieve a “messy garage” look. In the video, linked below I show you how.
To begin, cut all of the layers for the tool box and tools. Using the oxide inks add realistic texture and highlights. For additional detail, use the 3D embossing folder for the wood tool box, black and white gel pen dashes along edges, and different metallic papers for the tools.
Next, combine Oxide inks with a spritz of water, and apply the colors to the mixed media matting layer, drying each layer as you go with the Heat Tool. Top this off with several sprays of the Weathered Wood Distress Spritz. These colorful applications of ink are water reactive and almost seem to bloom when applied onto the paper. Using the heat tool between color applications ensures a vibrant result!
Use the Wood Planks embossing folder one last time on the inked matting layer, and heat emboss the sentiments with Opaque Bright White Wow embossing powder onto black cardstock. With the Simply Stated die collection, cut the sentiments out to fit the card perfectly.

To assemble this masculine card, use a 5”x7” top folding black card base, a kraft card layer measuring 4 7/8” x 6 7/8”, and top it with the 4.75” x 6.75” embossed matting later, the tool box and additional embellishments, as well as the sentiments. For the inside of the card, add a 4 7/8” x 6 7/8” white layer, and top with a strip of the paper that was altered with the aforementioned inks the second sentiment, and the layered bolts.
The result is perfect for Father’s Day, but you can easily transform this card using one of the many sentiments available in the Great Man collection, as well as the many other add-on collections from Honey Bee stamps. I hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial, and that you are able to subscribe to ScrapbookPal.com for more ideas using these and many other supplies. Thank you for stopping by!
