Hi! It's Kay here today to show you some projects I made with Spellbinders Fresh Picked Daisies Die set.
One of the first things I did before making these cards and tag was to search on line for "daisy". I love the simple elegance of a white daisy but I also know they come in lots of colors and varieties.
I started my projects by cutting out several sets of daisy dies and greenery. One I kept white, one I cut out in a soft lilac color, and the other two in two shades of pink. I also cut the greenery in a lighter green so I could combine them together for my card.
I really liked these lavender daisies in my online search so I decided to make some by using Distress Ink in Dusty Concord with a small blending brush.
I used Bearly Art glue to adhere the two greenery shades of cardstock together and then added my daisies.
I took my Thin Foam Adhesive Squares and cut them in smaller strips and added them on the back of my daisies for added dimension.
I adhered my daisies to a white stitched rectangle and then cut out an A2 sized piece of soft lilac cardstock like I used for my daisies and added a little ink blending around the edges to match my daisies.
I took the Mahagony colored cardstock that I used for centers and cut out "Happy" from Spellbinders Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiment dies. Then used "Mother's Day" words from the Lawn Fawn Henry's Build-A-Sentiment Spring stamps and embossed them with white embossing powder from Lawn Fawn. I trimmed down my cardstock and added it to my card.
For my arched card I used Spellbinders Make A Wish Arch Labels. I took the largest arch and placed it on the fold of a square card to make my card base.
Cut out my next piece with the die that is slightly smaller out of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and finally the middle sized die from white cardstock.
I adhered my dies with Thin Foam squares again for dimension, added a Mother's Day sentiment that was embossed with white and added it to my card.
I added a few Pinkfresh jewels to complete my card.
For my Daisy Tag I cut out a tag from the smaller arch (cut on the side fold to make a tag that would open up) and inked around the edges with Distress Ink in Speckled Egg.
I adhered just a portion of my daisy to the card with Bearly Art glue and added some white gel pen details and a Happy Birthday sentiment also from the Lawn Fawn Henry's Build-A-Sentiment Stamp Spring set that was embossed in white.
I used some of my leftover pieces to make a matching envelope.
I hope you have enjoy some Fresh Picked Daisies this season. Thanks for joining me today.
Watch for my next project using the Spellbinders Fresh Picked Vase Bouquet dies.
