Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! Can you believe we’re already to the middle of January?! I hope it’s not too cold where you are – it’ll be a minute before Spring arrives! Leslie here, sharing a clean and simple friendship card featuring the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies. I totally love color. I am all about rainbows and pretty rainbow colors, and the brighter the colors are, the better I love them! So you can imagine how much I enjoyed using these products! Hero Arts never disappoints!
STAMP & CUT FOCAL IMAGE
Using the Mini MISTI, stamp the focal image on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink using a stamp in the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies.
Color the image with Copic Ciao alcohol markers. I used B18, G05, R29, V15, Y08, and YR68 for the rainbow, and BG23, G94, R14, V09, and YR23 for the flowers and greenery.
Cut the rainbow with the coordinating die in the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies.
CUT CARD BASE & LAYERING PANELS
WHITE LINEN CARDSTOCK:
- Cut a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” panel for the card base and score it at 4-1/4” on the long side. Fold on the score line and burnish with a bone folder.
- Using the Pinkfresh Studio Postage Edge Nested Dies, cut a postage edge panel for the focal image.
PLAIN WHITE CARDSTOCK:
- Cut a sentiment panel for the inside.
SALMON CARDSTOCK:
- Cut a layering panel to adhere behind the postage edge panel on the front.
- Cut a layering panel to adhere behind the sentiment panel on the inside.
ADHERE LAYERS
Using the My Sweet Petunia Glue Press and Bearly Art precision craft glue, glue the salmon cardstock panel behind the postage edge linen cardstock panel for the focal image on the front.
Next, glue the salmon cardstock panel behind the plain white cardstock panel for the inside sentiment.
ADD FOCAL IMAGE & STAMPING
Using Scrapbook Adhesives Thin 3D Foam Squares, adhere the focal image to the front panel.
Next, using the Mini MISTI, stamp both portions of the sentiment from the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies on a scrap piece of plain white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Cut the ‘hello’ with the coordinating die in the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies and adhere it to the center of the focal image with Scrapbook Adhesives Thin 3D Foam Squares. Trim the ‘my friend’ portion into a strip and adhere it flat to the lower right portion of the focal image.
Finally, stamp the inside sentiment and a small flower, both also from the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies onto the layered inside panel. Color the small flower with G94 and R14 Copic Ciao alcohol markers.
COMPLETE PROJECT
Adhere the focal image panel to the card front with Scrapbook Adhesives Crafty Foam Tape 54 ft and add a few iridescent gemstones for a little sparkle.
Lastly, adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card base, and this will complete the card.
