Hello crafters,
Today I am sharing a card tutorial featuring Gina K. Designs stamps and dies from the Heart of the Forest collection. It is my first time working with this brand and I am so thrilled to get to use these gorgeous images! I began by stamping all of the images in the stamp set onto white 300gsm cardstock using Intense Black ink. This allowed me to use Copic markers to color the whimsical images. (I will list the colors used below.)
Once all of the cute little critters and sentiments were colored, I used the leaf images in the stamp collection and created backgrounds using Ballet Slipper and Misty coast inks from Pinkfresh Studio. I also used coordinating dies and Dotted Postage Square dies to cut what will be the embellishments on my cards.
I topped off three 4.25”x 5.5” top folding white card bases using a light gray dotted matting layer, leaving a thin white border on each card. Next, selecting the stamped postage squares along with sentiments critters, and leaves I arranged little scenes on each card by assembling each with delicately placed layers. For the stag and doe, I added dimension with 3D foam squares. Lastly, I topped of each card with white ink highlights, Nuvo crystal glaze and Nuvo Dream drops for a delicate shine and subtle texture.
These cards can convey gratitude, love and friendship. All are wonderful to brighten anyone’s day.
