My name is Deepa from @deezinesbyd and I’m excited to share two really simple Easter/spring cards using some products from the In The Garden Collection by Hero Arts.
I decided to keep the colors of this card as simple as the design by using a lot of white with pops of pastel blues and pinks. The simplicity of this design means that it’s ideal for mass production purposes, if desired. And you can always play with the positioning of the bunnies and sentiment strips to change things up a bit. To see how these cards came together, simply click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below.
I started by die cutting the Flowery Vines die from white, pastel blue and pastel pink cardstock. Then I paper-pieced them together to get the colored flowers on the vines. You could always just simply color in the flowers but this method allowed me to add some dimension too. Needless to say, I did add some micro foam squares to adhere the petals of the flowers that are cut out to the vines. You can see all that dimension in the YouTube video.
To make my white bunnies from the Rabbit Pair die set stand out, I added a die cut shape using the Essential Floral Reflection dies by Spellbinders! And a simple white heat embossed sentiment strip at the bottom of the card really finished off these projects!
To add some shine, I added some Pinkfresh Studio Blush and Aqua Glitter Drops in the background of both cards. I hope this card has inspired you to create something similar yourself. Please do check out the tutorial to catch all the tips and tricks as well.
