Hero Arts | Spring Whimsy Collection | Card Making Tutorial

Posted by Cassie Trask on

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Scrapbookpal Blog.  It's Cassie Trask, back with another video tutorial to share with you!  Today I'm focussing on the Hero Arts Spring Whimsy Collection to make a colorful Spring card.

I started by wetting some of my Distress Watercolor Pencils Set 2 with a little bit of water before bringing them directly to my Whimsy Floral Bold Prints background stamp.  Once I had the colors on there the way I wanted, I spritzed a little water on the stamp and brought my paper directly to the stamp and pressed down on the paper.  Next I colored a strip of Distress Watercolor Cardstock with one of my Distress Watercolor Pencils.  I stamped out my images from the Special Day Butterfly Bundle using some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then colored those with my Distress Watercolor Pencils before die cutting them out. I tore a small strip off of my background and then attached all of my pieces to the front of my card.

If you'd like to see exactly how I made this card, you can watch it here or over on the Scrapbookpal YouTube Channel.

I hope this tutorial makes you want to get a little inky!  Thanks for stopping by!
