Hello friends! It’s Sandy, @sandycogdill, here with my final card on the ScrapbookPal 2024 Design Team. It was such a pleasure being on the team and sharing with all of you. Thanks to ScrapbookPal for the opportunity. This definitely isn’t goodby or anything because I do the bulk of my cardmaking purchases with them. You can’t beat their quick turnaround for shipping!
I created this card using the New Hero Arts – Yule Fuel – Cup Of Cheer Betterpress & Foil Plate and the Yule Fuel – Celebration Betterpress & Foil Plate.
The Santa mug reminded me of the vintage mugs my Mom would put out at Christmas, so I set out to create a card that had a vintage vibe that has a modern-day spin.
To start, I used the Celebration Plate along with Gold Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil on a cream colored cardstock. I also used the sentiment included with the Cup Of Cheer Plate using my Betterpress Letterpress System with Bark Betterpress Ink.
I felt like the background needed just a little bit more, so I used the Celebration Plate again using Cruise Betterpress Ink. I made sure that I rotated the plate from when I used the foil so that my dots were in a different spot on the cardstock.
To finish my background, I cut it to 4.0” x 5.25” using the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Once it was cut, I dusted the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to give it a more vintage look. I cut piece of patterned paper to 4.25” x 5.5” using the Large Rectangle Stitched Rectangle Die.
I used the cup with the Cup Of Cheer plate with Pinkfresh Berrylicious Ink in the Betterpress Letterpress System. I fussy cut the cup including the little area inside the handle.
I used the Lawn Fawn Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Die for my latte cup. I made mine to hold a gift card, cut you wouldn’t have to. I used patterned paper for the cup elements.
Once my latte cup was assembled, I adhered the Santa mug and then adhered it to the background. I also added a few snowflakes cut from gold glitter cardstock using the Stitched Ornaments Die.
The glue that I used for this project is Bearly Are Precision Craft Glue along with the Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!
