Hello crafty friends! Colleen Beamish here from @humorbean_cards, and today I’m excited to share a festive and colorful Christmas card made with the Night Before Christmas stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler. This card is full of bright colors, dimension, and just the right amount of sparkle—perfect for holiday inspiration.
To start, I stamped every image in the set and then die cut them, knowing I wanted to use them all to build a playful background. I kept the color scheme simple by choosing inks from three different Pinkfresh Studio 4-pack cube sets, which made it easy to coordinate everything without overthinking.
Once the images were ready, I began arranging them around a sentiment on an A2 card front. I played around with placement until it felt balanced and cheerful, almost like a little holiday collage. When I had the design just right, I reached for one of my favorite crafty hacks—Press’n Seal. By laying a sheet of it over the entire arrangement, I was able to lift the die cuts all at once, flip them over, and add foam tape to the backs while keeping the design perfectly intact.
After adding foam tape, I flipped the Press’n Seal back over and pressed everything down onto my card front. It’s such a satisfying moment to peel away the plastic and see all the popped-up images exactly where you wanted them! To clean things up, I grabbed my Spellbinders 9” Pro Shears and trimmed away the pieces hanging over the edges.
For the finishing touch, I glued the decorated panel onto an A2 card base and filled in some of the empty spaces with Pinkfresh Studio jewels. The sparkle from the gems adds just the right amount of whimsy to tie the whole design together.
And that’s it! A sweet, colorful Christmas card that’s full of joy and dimension. If you’d like to see the entire process from start to finish, head over to the Scrapbook Pal YouTube Channel where you can watch along.
Happy crafting!
