Hi crafty friends! Today I'm happy to share with you - a fun card tutorial featuring the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layered Deer dies and the Heart Be Light stamps and die set. I had so much fun making this card! It will be perfect for Christmas!
I started big - die cutting all the pieces from the Lovely Layered Deer dies out of color card stock. I die cut extras out of white card stock to add more dimension.
Once I finished die cutting and gluing all of the pieces together, I started working on the background. I used the Fancy Flakes Cover Plate, which I die cut it twice - once out of white card stock and the second time out of holographic card stock.
Next, I used one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to add a hill to the background.
I didn't want to leave the hill just white, so I added some color. I used Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue and Ballet Slipper inks to make it look a bit like fresh fallen snow.
Once I was done inking the hill border, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Heart Be Light stamp set with white embossing powder on black card stock. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the sentiment.
Next, I trimmed one of the papers from the Lawn Fawn Spiffy Speckles paper pack 4.5 x 5.5 and glued it to my A2 card base. Then, I glued the Fancy Flakes die cuts, the stitched hillside die cut, the two deer, and the sentiment onto the card base. I wanted a bit of extra shine so I added some Pinkfresh Studio Metallic Pearls. Next, I added some highlights to the deer with a white gel pen.
Finally, I paired the card to a complimentary envelope. Now it will be ready to be sent to a loved one this Christmas!
I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made it and that it has given you some fun inspiration to do something fun and creative this week. Until next time!
