Honey Bee Stamps' Awesome to the Core

Honey Bee Stamps' Awesome to the Core

Posted by Andrea Shell on

Hi there! Apples are synonymous with fall in my mind, especially ones drowned in caramel! Today I'm sharing a pair of projects I created with Honey Bee Stamps' Awesome to the Core product suite. I think you'll agree with me that these products are awesome to the core!

I started by stamping the apple, slice and leaves from the Awesome to the Core stamp set repeatedly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I "colored" each image using the Awesome to the Core stencils and distress inks. (I have listed the colors of ink at the bottom of this post.) Once I was finished stenciling, I cut out each image with the coordinating dies.

For my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Blanket Stitched Rectangles Dies to create an A2 frame. I adhered the frame to a white card and stamped a sentiment from the Awesome to the Core stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I arranged my apples onto the card with a combination of thin and thick foam squares and tucked in the leaves and apple slice with liquid adhesive. I finished the card with a scattering of clear drops from my stash.

Because I had a few images left over, I decided to make a tag. I diecut white cardstock with Pinkfresh Studio's Shaker Tag Book Dies. Using the partial diecutting technique and the Blanket Stitched Rectangles Dies, I created a white mat, which I adhered to the tag.

I arranged my images onto the tag with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares. I stamped a sentiment from Awesome to the Core with Versafine Onyx Black ink, diecut it with the coordinating dies, and popped it up with foam tape. Finally, I finished with a few clear drops.

  • The coloring is so good you could just reach out and pluck an apple to eat.
