Welcome friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook today with a sweet thank you card featuring the new Honey Bee Stamps Birdhouse A2 Card die set. It’s a fabulous die set that is super versatile! It can fit on an A2 card front with a single story birdhouse like I created today, a two story birdhouse that is just adorable or you can even make it into a shaped card because it’s the perfect size!

Let’s just jump right in to creating, shall we?

First I pulled out the birdhouse dies and cut all of my pieces from cardstock - mostly white because I will use a blending brush to add color but a few pieces were kraft, melon and black cardstock.

Then I used my blending brush and dye inks to add shading to the wood grain pieces, color to the house and color to the door frame too. You can use whatever inks you have and choose your favorite color combos too! Next, I used my liquid glue to build my birdhouse and adhere all the layers together.

Now that the birdhouse is built, I wanted to fill the scene around it so it wasn’t just floating. For that I chose the Honey Bee Stamps Heart Vine dies. I cut the back piece from light green cardstock and the outline from a bit darker green and adhered them together. I did this twice to really fill in below the birdhouse. I also cut the elements for the Honey Bee Stamps Thanks sentiment die and glued those together as well.

Moving on to the background, I inked up a white panel with a blending brush and light teal ink for a subtle sky. I adhered the heart vines to the bottom with liquid glue and trimmed off the excess hanging over the edge. When I was about to adhere my birdhouse the sky was empty so I went looking in my stash and decided to add a few Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Frames to break up the blah. I think they’re super cute! I trimmed the clouds and added my house with a combination of foam squares and more liquid glue.

For just a little something extra and, what I think really rounds the design out, I added a hot foiled sentiment strip to the top left sky portion of the card. This sentiment is from the Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II set and it’s full of perfect sentiments to add to a design.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and found some inspiration to create something wonderful. I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
