Honey Bee Stamps Summer Cabin

Honey Bee Stamps Summer Cabin

Posted by Kathy Schweinfurth on

Imagine staying at a cabin on a lake surrounded by mountains...how super relaxing!!   I can image sitting on the cabin's front porch or in an adirondack chair on a dock looking out at the lake while smelling the clean, fresh air - wonderful!
Here's how I created my card....
1)  I first layered a piece of dark gray cardstock to the card base.
2)  I then layered on a piece of light blue cardstock to the top portion of the card.
3)  The mountains are cut from dark gray cardstock and the tops from white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Border dies and adhered to the top portion of the card.
4)  Since I wanted to create a 'lake scene' with cabins on both side of the lake, I took a strip of blue cardstock and embossed it with Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder to give the 'water' some texture.
5)  After layering on my 'water' piece, I placed a strip of green cardstock (which I fussy cut the top) on one side of my 'lake'.
6)  Then I cut another piece of green cardstock with Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders dies and adhered it to the bottom of the card for the other side of the 'lake'.
7)  Using the Honey Bee Stamps Summer Cabin dies, I cut each of the cabins and trees pieces in different colors (as shown) and assembled - very easy and super fun to do!
8)  Once the cabins and trees were assembled, I arranged them onto my scene and adhered or popped them up.
9)  To finish, I added the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Be Still stamp set.
