Love You A Latte Cards by Daniella

Hi creative friends, SweetD here from SweetDcreations11 and I’m back with a quick and easy crafty gift, that is sure to make anyone on your holiday list smile. Handmade gifts are so special because they truly come from the heart and they are my most favorite of all holiday surprises!! For this season I decided to do a 4bar size set of 4 cards/ envelopes in an adorable gift box. Making these precious little box sets is so fun and they really come together quickly with the simple techniques I am going to share below. I used easy shading and pattern paper for fun fresh look that can be duplicated or mass produced for multiple gifts. Hope you enjoy my process and are inspired to try it out for this season of giving!!

For the cards-

Step 1: Images are all from the Lawn Fawn Thanks A Latte stamp set and I stamped them out onto both Doodlebug gingham-linen rainbow pattern paper and 110lbs white card stock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I decided on a traditional red and green color palette so I chose my paper according to my overall theme. I then stamped the coordinating images into my cups with the inside rim stamp and also the latte heart stamp. For the mug filling I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink for the inner rim. I added glossy accents to top them off.

Step 2: I added shading to the pattern paper cups & scarves to give them more shape and dimension with green and red colored pencils.

Step 3: I Copic marker shaded my marshmallows, and whipped cream topping with Cool Gray 0 and added sparkle with Wink of Stella Shimmer pen. For the candy canes I used a Sakura Glaze Pen in red to add both shine and color.

The steam was stamped out in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder onto velum.

Step 4: All the sentiments I used are from the same stamp set and I wanted a mix of them all so I stamped them out onto strips of the coordinating paper with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder.

Step 5: I cut down my red and green textured card stock to 4bar size basses and used Versamark ink to stamp some of the adorable mini images onto each for a pattern card stock look. To finish the bases off I added a white piece of card stock slightly smaller to the inside of each with a Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

Step 6: For the centerpiece of each cards I used Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham Paper and Sizzix Scalloped Circle die set to create the “wall paper look” and Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood paper for the “table” they each sit on. The knock on wood paper was die cut using Sizzix framelits circle die set and then I cut the circle in half. I assembled my pieces using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and adhered them to my bases using Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Permanent Foam Squares. I attached the cups each to the center circle using the same adhesive squares and added the rest of my images/sentiments, using either Tombow Mono glue or adhesive squares when I felt they needed a little dimension. Once my images were attached I added some shading to the “table” area with a brown colored pencil and white gel pen details were added to a few scarves. Any remaining images got a good dose of Wink of Stella Shimmer pen to make them pop and sparkle.

For the box:

Step 1: I used the Lawn Fawn Gift Box die set to create my adorable box. I die cut it from the same textured red and green card stock as my card bases. I wanted the box to resemble what was inside without giving away the contents. So once the base of the box was cut I used Versamark ink to stamp some of the mini images from the same Thanks A Latte stamp set on both the top and bottom of the box. I assembled everything using the Xyron Mega Tape Runner and added Wink Of Stella Shimmer pen to the bow, tag and corners. For my last tiny detail I used a mini tag die and stamped out my sentiment and I attached it with a piece of red and white twine.

That completes my fun gift box project!! I hope this has helped you think “outside the box” for your holiday gift giving!! :)
