Magic Color Slider Cards

MAGIC COLOR SIDER

BASIC DIRECTIONS

1. Cut out acetate panel and stamp hedgehogs in landscape position. Use Staz On black ink. Set aside to dry.

2.Cut out white panel and stamp hedgehogs, heart, and sentiment in Copic friendly ink. Set aside.

3.Cut out two channels and glue together. Set aside.

4.Cut out one pocket from decorative or colored cardstock, and one slider from white cardstock.

5.Color the hedgehogs and background on the white cardstock panel.

6.Glue the panel so that it is centered in the frame of the pocket.

7.Put acetate atop the colored hedgehogs, making sure it aligns perfectly with the image below.

8.Put glue on the edge of the open picture frame and press down one the acetate, running fingers along the edge to secure the acetate in the frame.

9.Adhere the channels to the bottom and sides of the hedgehog picture.

10.Insert the slider into the slit. Slide it back and forth and up and down until it moves smoothly. Glue pull tab to slider.

11.Add a thin line of glue along the three sides of the channel and close the pocket.

12.Decorate the front of an A2 card, making sure it is in the landscape position.

13.Adhere the pocket to the front of the card and decorate as desired. Slider will move sideways.

ALTERNATE CARD DIRECTIONS

1. Place pocket in the portrait direction and color.

2.Card base also needs to be in the portrait position.

3.Slider will move up.

4.You may want to change card size to 4”x3.75”.

ALTERNATE TAG DIRECTIONS

1.Eliminate the white slider and cut an acetate slider instead.

2.Stamp the image on the acetate with Staz On, but turn it over and color it on the reverse side (to keep it from smearing).

3.When coloring the image, use colors such as ones that will change as the slider moves up and down. For example, use blue on the white panel and yellow on the acetate, so the image will appear green when slider is closed.
