Mother's Day Card (with Lawn Fawn & Avery Elle) by Kavya

Mother's Day Card (with Lawn Fawn & Avery Elle) by Kavya

With Mother’s Day around the corner, create this fun and adorable critter scene using some of my new favorite products this season - Lawn Fawn’s Giant Happy Mother’s Day and Avery Elle’s Forest Dance Party.

First, start off by creating the background by ink blending on blue cardstock using Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress oxide ink. Create the grass by using a thin strip of green cardstock and ink blending it using Pine Needles distress oxide ink. Splatter some paint for extra drama!

I didn’t want to use the entire sentiment die as I wanted some space to create the critter scene. So I cut off the ‘Happy’ and then ink blended using Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry distress oxide inks.

Later, stamp and color images from Avery Elle’s Forest Dance Party. After coloring the images, I added more details using the same white gel pen. I wanted some ‘greenery’ like bushes so I found some leftover colored images from another project. Feel free to find something similar from your stash!

Finally, adhere all the images on the card base using glue and foam finish off the card!
