Peace on Earth by Amanda

Hello crafty friends! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook today squeezing in another Christmas card featuring the Concord & 9th Peace on Earth stamps and dies. Let’s dive right in!

I started my card by die cutting the Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake backdrop die from white cardstock. Then I used blending brushes and the Catherine Pooler Paradise Found ink collection to blend some color on my background. I used both daydream and juniper mist on this panel.

Next, I pulled out the Concord & 9th Peace on Earth stamp set and stamped out some images using the same set of ink pads. Here’s a little color map for the inks I chose:

  • Sentiment – daydream
  • Poinsettia – peppermint scrub and sauna
  • Leaves pictured – eucalyptus
  • Smaller leaves I added later on – green tea

After everything was stamped out I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I arranged my greenery and glued it together with liquid glue. Then I added foam squares to the back of the sentiment and a couple of the poinsettia flowers.

Using my sentiment as a spacing guide, I glued down the two boughs of greenery I had created with liquid glue. I removed the release paper from the foam squares on my sentiment and popped it in place and then added my poinsettia flowers last. A couple of them are popped up with foam squares and the rest are glued down directly to the card front.

For finishing touches I just came in with a little Unicorn Stickles on all of the flower centers. I like shine and sparkle so I couldn’t just leave it alone.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
