Santa Bunny Card by Nancy

Hey Friends! Welcome back! This is Nancy from Rowhouse Greetings and I’m here today with a new card project featuring the Santa Bunny clear stamp set and coordinating dies by Colorado Craft Company. I adore this image by Anita Jeram and knew from the moment I saw it that I had to color it. But with the holiday rush, I also knew that I had to keep it simple, so I focused my time on the Copic coloring and kept the background simple.

For today’s post, I’m featuring:

  • Santa Bunny Clear Stamp Set and coordinating dies - Colorado Craft Company
  • Snowfall Stencil - Catherine Pooler Designs
  • Copic coloring (see marker list below)
  • Additional supplies listed below.

For the stenciled background, I pulled out my Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion which I like to use for projects like this. It’s perfect for holding both the paper and stencil in place while ink blending. I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” and placed it on the Make Art Stay-tion. I positioned the Snowfall Stencil by Catherine Pooler on top, but at an angle so that the snowflake pattern would appear from corner to corner. Once the stencil was in position, I held it in place with the supplied magnets as shown below and lightly stenciled the design using Distress Oxide ink in Speckled Egg.

I removed the stencil, revealing the soft snowflake pattern which would be perfect for my background. I stamped the sentiment in the upper corner using Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot, which I used to ensure that the sentiment stamped cleanly on top of the Distress Oxide ink blending.

I stamped the Santa Bunny image on a Copic compatible paper using Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink in Obsidian. I colored the image with Copic markers (see list below) and trimmed the image using the Santa Bunny Coordinating Dies

To assemble the card, I trimmed the stenciled background to 3.75 inches x 5 inches, applied foam tape to the back, and adhered it to my A2 card base. I applied foam adhesive squares to the back of the colored image and placed it in position on the card front.

Let’s take one more look at the finished card!

That’s all for me today! Hope you enjoyed today’s project!
